Gyuto (Chef’s knife) is an all-purpose kitchen knife. Gyuto is used for cutting meat, fish and vegetables.

Syodai Masayoshi Gyuto Stainless Steel knives are made of molybdenum stainless steel. The stain resistant knives are easy to maintain and have a long-lasting edge. The blades have been hand finished by skilled craftsmen.

Syodai Masayoshi Gyuto are very simple, yet very well designed and well balanced knives. The bolster has been designed to have a smooth continuous surface so that food will not catch on it, for clean efficient use in the kitchen. The thin taper of the blades result in an extremely sharp edge.  These knives are suitable for both commercial and home kitchens. Syodai knives are popular amongst many well-known restaurants and hotels throughout Japan.

Knives with blade lengths of 180-210mm are generally for home use, knives with blade lengths of 240-270mm are generally used by professionals, knives with blade lengths greater than 270mm are generally used as a slicer, or for large vegetables and fruits.
